Back on the Road

We left the Minneapolis Northwest KOA on Wednesday, September 6th.  It is always hard to say good-bye to our family and friends, but we had a very fun and full spring and summer.  The biggest event was the birth of our 16th grandchild in July, Amelia.  Of course, I'm not prejudice at all, but I think that she is the most beautiful baby on earth.

Our first stop, was visiting Roger's brother and our sister-in-law in Grand Rapids, MN.  It was a short but sweet visit but we were able to spend the day/evening and a nice breakfast at a great local establishment the next morning.  The next two days we hit the road running and arrived in Helena, MT so that we could spend a few days with Roger's sister and our brother-in-law.  We always have a great visit with them and on one of our afternoons we went on a boat tour through the Gates of the Mountains.

White Tail Deer that crossed the channel from the other side near the Mann Gulch

What a view!

See the mask? It's toward the left just next to the 2nd tallest pine on the top row

Golden Eagle just to the left of the "hole"
On our way to Idaho, we ran into a lot of smoke near Wolf Creek, Montana then it cleared and near St. Regis, Montana we ran into a fire close to the Interstate.
There are mountains behind the smoke in Wolf Creek
Fire near St. Regis Montana
See you in Idaho!
