Canyonlands National Park

We spent time at Canyonlands National Park.  We may be out of touch, but we'd never heard of this park until we got to Utah.  We always watch the movie, if there is one, at the Visitor Center.  Here, we found out that this park if fairly "new" as it was only named as a National Park in the late 60's.  Here are some of the pictures that I took along the drive throughout the park.

We will be on the road heading toward Montana.  I will post additional pictures of the wild flowers in Canyonlands and some other shots of the surrounding area.  We had a beautiful ride on the way home from Canyonlands along the Colorado River that I will include in tomorrows post.
