Roger took me to a spot today near Denali National Park where we hiked back into the woods and saw one of the biggest beaver dams that we've ever seen. There are two dams, one that edges along a small island and the other, which was built long enough ago, that it's already starting to grow trees.

After our hike, we drove North to Healy and had dinner at Rose's Cafe. On the way home, we passed some beautiful Alaskan wildflowers. Notice how light it still is and it's 9:30 pm. Remember, we're in the land of the midnight Sun.
